Introduction
With this aspect just within a few years after its foundation, Istanbul Shipyard became the first shipyard in Tuzla Bay which built the first Stainless Steel Chemical Tanker to a Turkish ship owner. Between the years 2003 and 2007, Istanbul Shipyard preferred to diversify on the market and became a reputable specialist on the stainless steel tanker production by delivering one piece of 3700 DWT and two pieces of 5700 DWT vessels with a remarkable delivery schedule. During these projects Shipyard gained great know-how on stainless steel handling, treatment and welding profession and techniques. All dedicated staff were trained and certified by world-wide known stainless steel manufacturers.
